TO THE BIBLE: Isaiah 26:3
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”
LET’S TALK
The scripture above doesn’t say, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind stayed on You”; rather, it says “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You….” The key word here is the verb ‘is,’ letting you know you should always keep your mind focused on God’s Word! “But, how do I focus my mind on God’s Word amidst everything I have to deal with every day?” you might ask. Well, the way to do that is to focus all your mental energies on His Word through meditation!
In your quiet times, as you study and meditate on the scriptures, shut out all forms of distractions. Don’t let your mind wander. Keep your heart fixed on the Word, and think deeply about His love, mercy, goodness and grace. Maintain this attitude towards God’s Word every day. Meditate on what it says over and over again, and you’ll enjoy God’s perfect peace! This is peace with abundant prosperity! In other words, you’ll stop struggling in life and have rest in every circumstance. You’re guaranteed this perfect peace as you keep your mind focused on God’s Word continually.
Furthermore, don’t just apply God’s Word in a particular situation, and then relent when you’re yet to see a change. Rather, keep your mind focused on the Word, irrespective of what the circumstances are. Hold on to your confession of God’s Word; keep talking it and it’ll deliver to you your inheritance in Christ. That’s how to stay your mind on Jesus!
