1 John 3:1 AMP C “See what [an incredible] quality of love the Father has given (shown, bestowed on) us, that we should [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! The reason that the world does not know (recognize, acknowledge) us is that it does not know (recognize, acknowledge) Him.”

In 1 John 3:1, rather than use the Greek word “huios” for “sons,” which refers to sons of figurative kingship, John chooses the word “teknon,” describing you as a vital son (or daughter) of God – one actually born of His Spirit. In other words, you bear the very genes of your Father, and your sonship is distinct and undeniable.
But, there’s a legal aspect to this, because the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:20, “For ye were bought with a price: glorify God therefore in your body” This legal aspect is, in fact, what made your vital sonship possible. As a result, you now have the life of God in you; you’re no ordinary kid.
The Bible records, “And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father” (Galatians 4:6 KJV). Take advantage of your privileged position as a child of God in truth. Let the qualities of God’s personality be evident in your character and daily living. Inspire your peers; show them the light, and be an exemplary icon of Christ in your world.

Dear Father, I thank you for making me your child in truth; both in legal and vital terms. I’m glad I bear your divine DNA inside me. Therefore, I’m more than a conqueror. I’m a participator in the divine experience. The effect of this life is apparent in everything I do, in Jesus’ Name.
