John 10:10 CEV “A thief comes only to rob, kill, and destroy. I came so that everyone would have life, and have it in its fullest.”
▶LET’S TALK
Jesus Christ came so you can have and enjoy life to the full. John 10:10 shows us that this was His mission. The word “life” as used in this context is translated from the Greek word “Zoe,” and it refers to the God-kind of life. This is the very essence of divinity – the indestructible, imperishable, and incorruptible life of God.
In John 5:26, Jesus made a remarkable reference to this life: “For as the Father has life in Himself so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself.” He was saying that this divine life was inherent and fully resident within Him. What’s more, He has imparted to us who believe in Him the same in-built divinity! That’s what the Bible says in 1 John 5:11-12, “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life….”
Think about this for a second: Is it possible for God to fail, or be sick, or lack anything? ‘’Absolutely not!” you say. Well, since you’re born again, you have the same life and nature as God, and that makes you sickness-proof, lack-proof, and failure-proof! How can you be defeated when the very life in you is of God? Understand that the God-life in you is all you need to be victorious and successful every day!
