THE LIGHT OF GOD’S WORD
(Say What You See In God’s Light)
TO THE BIBLE: 1 John 1:7
“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
LET’S TALK
Walking in the light of God’s Word means to walk in the light of those things that are consistent with God’s provision for the new creation as revealed by the Word. The Word reveals, for example, that as new creations, we have justification. You’re to walk in the light of your justification. You’ve been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). You’re to walk in the light of your righteousness, and that means you’re walking in consistency with what God says about your righteousness. God’s light about righteousness is that, it’s a gift that’s imparted into anyone who believes in Jesus Christ.
So, you say, “Father, I dwell in your light; in your light, righteousness is a gift that’s given to everyone who believes in Jesus Christ; therefore, I have that gift in the Name of Jesus. I am righteous. Hallelujah.” That’s walking in His light. The carnal man doesn’t say such things, because he lives by what his senses tell him. He says, “I’m struggling in life; I just feel like God isn’t with me today.” You see, he contradicts God’s Word by declaring himself a struggler, not conscious that the Bible says those who entered into God’s rest have ceased from their struggles (Hebrews 4:10). He interprets his life through his own senses, and God’s Word has nothing to do with your senses.
Unlike the carnal guy, you’re to walk by the Spirit and not by your feelings. Romans 8:13 says, “For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.” This isn’t talking about physical death; it’s talking about spiritual death. That means you’ll be cut off from God; you’ll find yourself struggling. But if you walk in God’s light, in His Word, you’ll live, rule and reign as a king.

Psalm 36:9
For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light.
Proverbs 6:23
For the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light; reproofs of instruction are the way of life,
Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
PRAY
Dear Father, I thank you for enlightening me through your Word, to walk on the path of life. Your Word is light and glory; as I meditate and live by the Word, I’m transformed into the glorious image that I see in it. There’s no darkness in me; I enjoy a sweet and rich fellowship with the Word and your Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
