YOUR FUTURE IS BETTER THAN YOUR PAST

TO THE BIBLE: John 16:12-13 TLB

“Oh, there is so much more I want to tell you, but you can’t understand it now. When the Holy Spirit, who is truth, comes, he shall guide you into all truth, for he will not be presenting his own ideas, but will be passing on to you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.”

LET’S TALK

Jesus said “When the Holy Spirit, who is truth, comes… He will tell you about the future” (John 16:13 TLB). The guy without the Holy Spirit is the one who’s uncertain about his future. He’s like an airplane without a pilot, or a ship without a captain, lost at sea, bobbing about in the water. He’s a traveller, wandering aimlessly, with a ticket to nowhere.

However, for you who’s born again, life doesn’t have to be foggy or mysterious anymore, for the Holy Spirit living in you came to guide you and show you how bright your future really is. King David sang about the Holy Spirit in one of his psalms saying, “You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore” (Psalm 16:11). He was well-acquainted with the Spirit, and boy, did he have a bright life!

You can’t know the path of life that brings success, joy, victory and prosperity on your own, but that’s why the Holy Spirit has come to lead you into that path. He knows how to take you through life’s journey and make you a success, for He sees the end from the beginning. He came to guide you and show you visions of the future. Let Him have His way in you today.

Dear Father, thank you for the great and wonderful future that you’ve planned for me! Today, as I yield to the guidance and counsel from your Spirit, the eyes of my spirit are open to recognise and walk in the path of blessings prepared for me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Speak in tongues and glorify God for the beautiful things He has prepared for you today.
