(Prosperity In A Time Of Dryness)

TO THE BIBLE: Isaiah 58:11
“The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.”
LET’S TALK
It’s important for you to have your mindset conditioned by the Word of God as you journey into your future. Else, you’ll be limited by the same circumstances that hold ordinary people down. The world often complains of dryness, times of decreasing productivity and dwindling income, when life generally becomes difficult. They live in fear of today’s problems and the uncertainties of the future.
But that’s not your lot as a child of God. The Bible says concerning you in Jeremiah 17:8, “For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.” For us whose faith and trust is in the Lord, people will have to tell us about the dryness and heat they’re experiencing. That’s because it’s not our lot; we don’t know when heat comes.
The Bible says in Job 22:24 (KJV), “Thou shalt lay up gold as dust….” “Dust” here doesn’t only refer to the magnitude of your financial blessing, but also to its immutability. Just as it is difficult to keep dust away, so it is difficult to keep riches from coming your way. And interestingly, you have the most dust in times of dryness. So, when God says you’ll lay up gold as dust, He’s letting you know that even in times of economic hardship, your prosperity will continue to increase, just as dust increases in time of dryness.

Speak
I’m like a tree planted by the waters, that spreads out her roots by the river. I don’t know when heat comes. Instead, my leaf is always green; I’m not careful in the time of drought, neither do I cease from yielding fruit. I reap a multiplied harvest in a time of famine. Hallelujah!
