(Reassess Your Motives And Priorities)
TO THE BIBLE Matthew 6:31-33;
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
LET’S TALK
I want you to read the text above again, but this time, contemplatively. Many have thought the Lord Jesus meant that we should seek the Kingdom first before we can go about seeking other things. That’s not what Jesus said; He only wants you to seek the Kingdom of God and nothing else! According to Him, everything else is granted us once we seek after the Kingdom of God.
It doesn’t make any difference that you’re a teenager, the Lord can still use you to bring others into His kingdom, thus expanding His Kingdom. And you can start from where you are, for where you are is your mission field.
Recognise that you’re on a mission, regardless of where you are or what you do; the Gospel is your number one priority. Your life shouldn’t just revolve around your school work, friends and family. You have to be concerned about the development of your spirit, and the expansion of the Kingdom of God.
The Lord’s injunction for us to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness calls for every one of us to take a life assessment according to His Word and walk in His plan for you and others.

Dear Father, I thank you for choosing and enabling me as a faithful minister of reconciliation; I’m effective in leading the lost to salvation, and guiding them to the realities of the Kingdom, on account of your great love, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
