(You’re The Epitome Of God’s Righteousness)
TO THE BIBLE: 2 Corinthians 5:21
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
LET’S TALK
From the opening scripture, it’s clear that Jesus was made sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him! This is much more than being justified or made righteous by faith; rather, it means that we’ve become the very expression of His righteousness, and proof of His equity! This is Christianity. This is the Gospel. You’re the expression of His goodness, kindness, and grace! You’re His outstretched arm of blessing to the world.
You’re the expression of His personality; everything the Father is, and represents, is expressed in and through you. The Lord Jesus made a profound statement when He said, “…He who has seen Me has seen the Father…” (John 14:9). In John 10:30, He also said, “I and My Father are one.” He expressed the will and nature of the Father. He’s described for us in Hebrews 1:3 as the express image of the Father; the perfect imprint and ultimate icon of God; and we’re exactly like Him.
1 John 4:17 says, “…As He is, so are we in this world.” So, like Jesus, we’re the expression of the will and character of God. That’s righteousness: it’s the expression of the will and nature of God. Romans 5:17 says, “…Much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ,” which means you’ve been endowed with the ability to manifest, and express the will and nature of the Father everywhere: in every situation, in every event, and in every matter. Blessed be God!
