“REMEMBER ME!”
(Trust In The Power Of The Holy Communion);
TO THE BIBLE I Corinthians 11:23-26;
“For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.”
LET’S TALK
The Holy Communion is something important you don’t want to miss out on; there’s a reason Jesus categorically said, “…do this in remembrance of Me” (1 Corinthians 11:24). He wouldn’t just tell you to do something if it had no relevance or blessing. In the early Church, the disciples of Jesus did exactly what He said; they “…devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer” (Acts 2:42 NIV).
Notice that the disciples continued steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching; they listened to, received, accepted, and walked in the light of God’s Word that they were taught by the apostles. In addition, they came together frequently for fellowship and to partake of the Holy Communion. In our ministry, we have our Global Communion Service every first Sunday of the month, and this service is streamed Simultaneously across the globe—coast-to-coast. We also fast and pray globally on that day.
So, like the disciples in the early Church, we come together regularly to fellowship, break bread, and pray. You’ve got to understand the significance of the breaking of bread; it’s the remembrance of the death of Jesus Christ on your behalf! It’s the celebration of the life of glory His vicarious death has brought you into. His body was broken for your wholeness, sanctification, and perfection. Moreover, the “cup” means the New Testament in Jesus’ blood. He shed His blood for the remission of your sins, so that sin shouldn’t have dominion over you. You’re now the offspring and heir of that New Testament that was signed in His blood. Awesome news isn’t it!

16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
17 For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread.
PRAY
Dear Father, I thank you for the countless blessings of the Holy Communion. By the bread and cup of the New Testament, I have my health and wholeness. Thank you for the blessed opportunity to enjoy fellowship and talk with you in prayer. I see changes take place in my world each time I pray, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
