TO THE BIBLE: 2 Timothy 1:6-7 RSV
“Hence I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is within you through the laying on of my hands; for God did not give us a spirit of timidity but a spirit of power and love and self-control.”
LET’S TALK
The Bible records how God’s power came strongly on certain men and women in the Old Testament, causing them to do supernatural things. Samson, for example killed a lion with his bare hands (Judges 14:5-6), and killed one thousand men with the fresh jawbone of a donkey (Judges 15:15-16). He also carried the gates of a city on his shoulders all the way to the top of a hill (Judges 16:3)!
When you study Samson’s life thoroughly, you’ll understand the role he played in triggering the anointing of God’s Spirit on him. After he was betrayed by Delilah and his hair was shaved, the Bible says he “…awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself…” (Judges 16:20 KJV). He knew exactly what to do to activate the power of God—it happened whenever he shook himself!
1 John 2:27 says, “…the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you….” The anointing—the power of God—is in your spirit, but it wouldn’t work just because it’s there. This is why you need to know the things that’ll stir up the anointing in your life. One sure way to activate the power of God that’s in you is by speaking in other tongues. The Bible says, “He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself….” (1 Corinthians 14:4). In other words, he “charges” himself up like a battery! When that anointing is triggered, anything is possible. Don’t live an ordinary life; trigger the anointing every day!

Speak
I’m anointed and full of the power of the Holy Ghost. I live a supernatural life every day, as I stir up the anointing of God in me. I can’t be defeated or destroyed, for the anointing in me has made me super-powerful, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
Act
Speak fervently in tongues and stir up the anointing in you.
