WHAT IS ETERNAL LIFE?
Jeremiah 29:11; Ephesians 2:10(AMPLIFIED); Psalm 16:11.
God’s plan for your life shouldn’t be a mystery because He says at His right hand there’s fullness of Joy.
God always seeks to get our attention. You can have more peace with prosperity. 2 Peter 1:2.
Another word for Communion is transportation, Promotion is beyond you attaining a new level at your work place.
PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. That’s a law. A sovereign declaration of the Almighty God.
To understand everlasting life, you have to understand eternal life.
ETERNAL LIFE: Means ageless, without a beginning nor end. It is timeless. It means incorruptibility, indestructible, imperishable, not subject to failure not subject to death. Only God has it, that’s why He’s called the eternal one.
EVERLASTING LIFE: Is a product of eternity. It means, you have a beginning but no end. Angels are everlasting because God made them so. When God makes something or someone, He imparts that one with eternal life. When you become born again, you have everlasting life, you’re brought from humanity to eternity. When we believe in Jesus, we get something the eternal life which is the nature of God.

WHAT IS ETERNAL LIFE?
- Vital Union with God different from the legal Union. We’re both in the legal and the vital Union with God.
- Eternal life gives is divine health which is better than divine healing.
- It brings us agelessness, it’s called endless development.
NOTE THIS: You were brought into the ageless zone when you became born again.
I began to talk to you about eternal life and what it means (click link to view reference). Remember the three points. It’s so important that you understand what Jesus came to do. This is the greatest news on earth and the greatest work that was ever done. It’s wonderful to be healed, but how about never being sick? John 3:16.
Christianity is the Life of Christ in me. I explained to you the difference between eternal life and everlasting life, and I also told you that they are synonymous only after our life here on earth. When I receive Christ I receive eternal life. I was given the very Christ life. John 5:26, 1:12-17, Luke 18:18, ‘what shall I do to inherit eternal life?’ This is the first question. Son of God means God in human flesh and that’s the reason for the Jews to pick up stones against Him. So when we say such, we making a personal declaration of His deity.
The second question is in first John 18: , ‘what is truth?’
The third question is in John 14:5, ‘how can we know the way’ in the world right now that is filled with all sorts of religions, preachers, churches?
So, the questions are about eternal life, truth and way. And Jesus answered that by saying ‘I am the way, the truth and the life.’ If only the man had known who Jesus is…. Jesus also responded to Martha by saying I am the Resurrection and the life. He didn’t say ‘I will resurrect him, rather I am the Resurrection and the life. Jesus once asked ‘do you believe this?’ On the occasion of Lazarus, He called out with a loud voice ‘Lazarus come forth!’
1 John 5:11, a lot of times we tell people of the promises of God, but eternal life is not a promise. I can see that verse for myself. You cannot get this life from any religion! Only from the Son of God! It’s important that I understand God’s word and how to use it. Look carefully atHebrews 13:5-6,
5 Let your manner of living be without covetousness, and be content with such things as ye have. For He hath said, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee”;
6 so that we may boldly say, “The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto Me.” conversation refers to your manner of life. * Verse 5* means that God said so that I may respond to Him, not to say the same thing but to agree with Him. The powerful thing about the Word of God is my response. I have to say something that is consistent with what He says. So, Christianity is the response of the human spirit to the Word of God! That’s Faith.
1 John 5:13, These things I have written unto you that believe in the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe in the name of the Son of God., He wants me to know that I have eternal life. Say ‘I have eternal life.’ Christianity begins with the resurrection not His death. That is why we should confess that God has raised Him from the dead. This is the present truth, his death is an old truth likewise every revelation of Jesus in the Old Testament. All the names of God in the Old Testament cannot cast out devil. He said thou has exalted thy name above thy word’, and that word became flesh Jesus! Only that name can cast out devils!
1 John 3:14, “We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death”. This is no speculation. It is something I know! He didn’t say we are going from death to life, but in the past tense. Look at John 5:24, “Verily, verily I say unto you, he that heareth My Word and believeth in Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life.”, say this with me ‘I have passed from death to life.’ This is important because I can’t live a life that is higher than my knowledge and revelation of the Word. That’s why there are many Christians who live the human life and they believe it is normal.
Colossians 3:1-4, When Jesus was on the cross, he represent every man, not just Christians. When he was raised, we were also raised with him. That is the legal part of salvation, but when I confess it, it becomes a vital reality. Verse 3 means that the human life with which I was born with is dead. But verse 4 should make me to understand why I am not Igbo, Hausa, Nigerian or American but in Christ. So I shouldn’t suffer what Igbos, Hausas, Americans suffer due to their nature. Look at Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me”. And the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me, living by the faith of the Son of God (faith works by love) means… “Jesus believes in me, I feel love, mercy, I hear his voice like the under on the sea, He’s the one that made my spirit alive, that gives me the courage to be what I must be” ‘ He believed that if I would accept what he did for me, I would go home and trust in his love.
We were not told to grow into the image of Christ. Christianity is better enjoyed when lived, than when preached. Jesus is the express image of God. 2 Corinthians 3:18, the Greek word is ‘optizomai’ which means seeing oneself in a mirror. Then, he calls what I am seeing the glory of God. So, when I look at me, instead of looking down I should look at the mirror, and I am changed into the glory that I see. As I look I realize that diabetics is gone, that eye problem is gone.
I am passed from time into timelessness, from age into agelessness, from death into life. This revelation is only revealed to the generation of the rapture! The bible says as we are born of the image of the earthy, so let us also bear the image of the heavenly. He says grace upon grace in John 1:16, And of His fullness have we all received, and grace for grace. And in Roman 1:16-17. For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believeth, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith; as it is written: “The just shall live by faith.” This is true because the men of old lived for such a long time but later the length of man’s life was cut short because of sin. But Jesus has dealt with sin therefore we shouldn’t suffer its consequences. That means I can grow without aging.
The word says such of Moses in the last chapter of Deuteronomy. Even of Caleb at the age of 85! Some people say they are not so young anymore at 65 years. But I have been transferred into the ageless zone. Even scientists are beginning to find that it is possible for man not to age, that man’s life has no expiry date, so they are looking for a way to deal with that. The bible says ‘If they shall drink any deadly thing they cannot be hurt’ which means that a Christian cannot be hurt. Look at Leviticus 17:11, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul”, when I got born again and received the Holy Ghost, my life ceased to be by my blood. Remember the spear that was thrust into Jesus body, blood and water gushed out, so he lost all his blood. But when he was risen, how was he alive? So, his life was not dependent on his blood. The word says ‘If the spirit that raised Jesus… that same spirit shall vitalize your mortal body’. That same spirit! Shout glory!
