Your level of spiritual maturity is determined by your level of intimacy with the Word, and with the Holy Spirit. Walk In Higher Revelations
To the Bible 1 Corinthians 3:1-3 CEV
“My friends, you are acting like the people of this world. That’s why I could not speak to you as spiritual people. You are like babies as far as your faith in Christ is concerned. So I had to treat you like babies and feed you milk. You could not take solid food, and you still cannot, because you are not yet spiritual….”
LET’S TALK
Dave’s dream had always been to become a medical doctor, just like his dad. He had become fascinated by medicine as a young boy, and he loved to read through his dads medical journals whenever he brought them home. However, most of the articles he saw in the journals made little or no sense to him. He couldn’t understand much of the professional jargon, because he was yet to attain the level of knowledge required to comprehend such concepts. But now that he’s in medical school, many of those things he read and saw as kid now make a lot of sense.
It’s the same way with the things of the Spirit. You can’t walk with God in His higher revelations until you increase in your knowledge of His Word. In our theme scripture, Paul chided the believers in Corinthians for living as spiritual infants, because their knowledge of the Word was so shallow. He therefore had to feed them with the “milk” of God’s Word rather than with “solid food.”
God’s purpose isn’t for you to remain at the babyhood stage of Christianity; He wants you to grow and become mature, so you can function in the higher revelations of His Kingdom. To achieve this, you need to get more acquainted with the Holy Spirit and with the Word. The Holy Spirit is your teacher; if you ask Him today, He’ll teach you the Word and impart higher revelations to your spirit that’ll cause you to function in greater wisdom, power, and glory. This is the Father’s will for you.
