To The Bible: John 1:7
“This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.”
LET’S TALK
Imagine that you had a pair of sunglasses that uses x-ray, infrared, ultraviolet, and visible light, and with it you could see in the dark, see through objects and walls, and even see things that are invisible to the natural eye! Sounds pretty cool, doesn’t it. But as cool as that is, it doesn’t beat God’s light.
God’s Word is His light (Psalms 119:105), and He wants you to see with it at all times. Under the light of God’s Word, you don’t see failure, impossibilities, lack, sickness or death. This is the true light! It influences and regulates your decisions, mindset, opinions, and actions. It helps you see yourself the way God sees you, and inspires you to take advantage of everything that belongs to you in Christ.
The Word has been given to you to light your path, so you don’t have darkness or uncertainty as you journey through life. With it, you can take charge of your health, academics, and finances… everything that concerns you. That’s why the Bible instructs us to walk in the light, just as God is in the light. This should come naturally to you, because you’re a child of light (1 Thessalonians 5:5).

Pray
Dear Lord, your Word is a light unto my feet and a light unto my path. I walk in the reality of it today. I’m guided and inspired continually by that light. And my path is shining brighter and brighter by the day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Act
Take time to think of what your priorities are as a teenager. And from today, begin to note what God’s instructions are concerning those priorities.
