QUIT THE DOUBTS! -Wednesday, February 8th

Be Confident In The Integrity Of God’s Word

TO THE BIBLE: James 1:5-6 NIV
“If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.”

LET’S TALK
It’s easy to tell whether someone is walking in faith or unbelief when he’s pressed for time. For instance, he may have gotten a word from God concerning something he prayed about; but when there seems to be a delay, a doubtful person begins to feel pressured from within, because he’s yet to see the outcome he desires. At that point, he starts wondering if God heard him in the first place. He may not realise it, but he’s acting in unbelief, not faith.

Sadly, this is the way some Christians respond when they’re under pressure. They unwittingly plunge into unbelief, because they don’t fully understand what it means to be “unbelieving.” To be “unbelieving” is to doubt the integrity of God’s Word. This means you’re no more confident in what God has said, because of the situation you’re facing. But faith on the other hand doesn’t doubt, no matter the situation or seeming ‘delay’. It remains unshaken about what God has said.

So, rather than doubt the integrity of God’s Word because of a delay in the desired outcome of a situation, choose to walk in faith. Make your confessions of faith based on the Word, and be fully persuaded and confident that they’ll produce the desired results for you.
