PROTECT YOUR HEART

TO THE BIBLE: Proverbs 4:23 AMP

“Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.”

LET’S TALK

At airports, passengers and their luggage usually undergo a screening process before being allowed onboard an airplane. This screening process is part of the airport’s security put in place to protect lives and prevent attacks. In similar manner, a Christian should ensure that anything going into his heart must undergo screening to prevent the wrong thoughts and information from taking root in there.

The best way to perform this screening to protect your heart is with God’s Word. Your heart is the driving force of your life, so you have to watch what you allow into it. With the Word, you can keep out every false idea or thought that’s against God’s will. For example, if you get some information about yourself that’s different from what God’s Word says, don’t dwell on it or allow it to process itself into your spirit. Rather, say “No! That’s not for me. I function in the realm of super-abundance because I’m a child of God and a joint-heir with Jesus. Therefore I can never be poor, sick or confused in my life.” Refuse to let that information ruin your life or determine the circumstances of your existence.

Use the Word of God as a filter to stop contrary information from getting in. Reject the thoughts of fear, sickness, lack, sorrow and struggling that comes from the world! Choose to embrace the thoughts of success, victory, health, prosperity, happiness and fulfillment that come from God’s Word.
