If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check… The tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire….”
LET’S TALK
A little girl once heard a pastor preach from Mark 11:23; she believed every word the pastor shared and decided to put it to work. At the back of her house was a hill. Every day she went to the hill and said, “Remove from here in Jesus’ Name!” Many people laughed when they heard what she was doing, but she never stopped talking to the hill. Few years later, there was a government directive to expand the road close to her house, and for this reason, some structures had to be removed including that hill! That’s not a coincidence!
Christianity is a life of talking, and it matters what you’re saying. You can’t afford to keep quiet when you’re faced with unpleasant situations. Many people today go through extremely difficult challenges, not knowing how to surmount them, because of the wrong things they said long ago, while others got into trouble because they failed to use their tongue in the first place. Your words rule your life (Proverbs 18:21). Like the story above, though it took some years before the hill was removed, it indeed moved as the little girl said.
What is that challenging situation you’re faced with today? What you need is God’s Word on your lips – that’s God talking when you talk His Word. Get a grip on the words that come out of your mouth, and chart your course for a victorious life in Christ Jesus. Create your own victorious, prosperous, and exciting life by speaking creative words of faith. The Bible says “So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed” (Acts 19:20). Prevail over every situation now with your spoken words of faith.

The Word of faith is in my heart, and in my mouth today! As I speak it forth, mountains are moved, hills are leveled, and the crooked paths are made straight before me. Nothing is impossible to me because the greater One lives in me, and by His power working in, and through me, I’m creating my victorious and prosperous life, from glory to glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
