Make the choice today to work on “being something,” and not on “having anything.” Improve Your Personality and Invest in your Mind.
TO THE BIBLE LUKE 12:15 NIV
Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”’
LET’S TALK
Yvonne was about writing her Mathematics exams when it dawned on her that she didn’t have a good scientific calculator. She was actually given the money by her dad, but she spent it on acquiring the latest earrings without considering her need for a calculator. And that really affected her performance in the exam.
As a young Christian, you shouldn’t crave for or long after material possessions, for life is not defined by what you have, but by who you are. This is the reason you must invest in your personality. Who you are inside; the quality of your personality—that’s what counts, not the abundance of your material possessions! Consciously invest in yourself. Invest in your mind and in your character. When you build your personality to become a young lad or lady of substance and character, your greatness in life will be inevitable; you’ll surely have the things that others run after. But if you don’t invest in your personality to be great inside, no matter what you amass in terms of material possessions you’ll surely fade away.
I encourage you to take investing in your personality seriously! Be committed to improving your character by building yourself with the right and necessary materials. Remember, when you’re great inside, nothing will stop that greatness from manifesting on the outside.
