Make God’s Word Your Firm Anchor

FASTENED TO THE WORD

(Make God’s Word Your Firm Anchor)

TO THE BIBLE: Hebrews 6:19 AMP

“[Now] we have this [hope] as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whoever steps out upon it—a hope] that reaches farther and enters into [the very certainty of the Presence] within the veil,”

LET’S TALK

An anchor is a huge object, often made of metal and used to hold a ship to the bottom of a body of water at a specific point. It ensures that the ship doesn’t go beyond a dictated circumference. Even when heavy storms and winds buffet the ship, the anchor keeps it in place. That’s what the Word of God can do in your life— it’s the anchor for your soul!

When you make God’s Word the anchor for your life, you’ll not be swayed by challenging situations or circumstances of life. It’ll keep you standing strong and tall in the face of adversity. You’ll be like the man the Lord Jesus described in Luke 6:47-49; “…a man building a house, who dug and went down deep and laid a foundation upon the rock; and when a flood arose, the torrent broke against that house and could not shake or move it, because it had been securely built or founded on a rock” (AMP).

Make a quality decision today to fasten your life firmly on God’s Word. Give yourself no option but to stand on God’s Word in all that concerns you, in your health, relationships, education etc. Let the Word have the final say. Be a doer of the Word, for when all else fails, that’s the way to anchor your life on the Word. It’ll keep you permanently successful and prosperous.
