(We’re In The “Last Days” Before The Lord Returns)

 

TO THE BIBLE: Matthew 24:3-5

‘Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.”’

LET’S TALK

We’re living in the last days before the return of the Lord Jesus Christ; it’s a generation that will bring to a close God’s dealings with the world as we know it. While the Lord Jesus was on earth, He warned His disciples of certain signs and events that would signify the end of the age and His second coming. Today we can observe these signs all around us. We’re living in a very delicate time where there’s so much evil, deception, and crime.

We hear of wars and rumours of wars, and we see nations rising up against nations. Many people have been deceived through false doctrines, and many more are still being lured away from the truth. These are all signs of the end as described by the Lord Jesus. However, according to Bible, the Gospel will be preached everywhere and through every available medium, in spite of these signs (Matthew 24:14).

God’s Word is the only sure way to live in these difficult times, and the Holy Ghost is our constant guide, who guides us through the Word. I encourage you to take advantage of the peace and assurance of the Gospel by giving your life to Jesus Christ. If you’ve already done so, study the Word daily, rather than dwell on the negative news in the world around you. You’ll discover scriptural ways to respond to these end-time signs, and what you must do to overcome them. Hold on to the Word; it’s truth and it’s life, and it has the power to save all who live by it!

Father, I have received your Word to me today by your Spirit. I thank you for the courage, comfort and patience to carry on with your glorious Gospel. According to your Word, in my patience, I possess my soul in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
