TO THE BIBLE: Matthew 28:19-20
‘“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.’
LET’S TALK
When you’re born again, not only does Christ become Lord of your life, He also puts you in a spiritual family where you relate with other fellow believers. That family is the local church you belong to, and He wants you to function as a vital part of it. That’s where you’re taught the Word of God, and nurtured in the things of God. But as you grow spiritually, He expects you to take up the responsibility of reaching others in your world with the Gospel.
Your world refers to your immediate sphere of contact. Thus, as a young person, you have to reach other young people around you. That’s one of the ways you impact your world for the Lord. Everyone has their world; it’s your responsibility to reach yours, for no one else can make the kind of impact you’ve been destined by God to make there. You see, Jesus has made you a minister of reconciliation.
Your responsibility is to tell others about what He’s done for them: telling them the good news of His salvation for all of mankind. Winning souls, really, is God’s number one priority, and that’s the reason you ought to take the responsibility of reaching your world for Christ very close to heart.
