HE DOESN’T LAY BLAMES

HE DOESN’T LAY BLAMES

And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled. In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreprovable in his sight
(Colossians 1:21-22 CWSB).

What a blessing to know the true nature and character of our heavenly Father! James 1:5 says, He “…upbraideth not…,” which means He doesn’t reproach or criticize you. He doesn’t blame you for anything. Men may look at you and berate or scold you, but God isn’t that way.

He doesn’t even count your sins against you (2 Corinthians 5:19), neither does He find fault with you. Read the opening scripture once more. It says, “…He reconciled (you) in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable, and unreprovable in His sight.” This is so comforting. It means that before God, you’re without blemish and free from accusation; you’ve been justified. Halleluiah.

No wonder the Apostle Paul got poetic in Romans 8:33-34 saying, “Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again….”

Then in verse thirty-eight to thirty-nine, he declared, “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor heightnor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Christ Jesus already died for you; He was condemned in your place. Jesus who died for you is no ordinary person. Thus, no one should condemn you anymore.

There’s therefore now no condemnation for you, because you’re in Christ Jesus, and walk according to the spirit (Romans 8:1). Christ is your righteousness (1 Corinthians 1:30); it doesn’t matter who accuses you; to God you’re unblamable , because of His righteousness in you. You may say, “But I’ve made mistakes.” Yes, you have, but Jesus took responsibility for all your mistakes. He’s the reason God doesn’t charge you with wrong. Halleluiah!
