For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

You’VE Got Everything!

(You Have All Things In Christ)

TO THE BIBLE: Romans 6:23

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

LET’S TALK

The fundamental truth of the Gospel is that the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. However, as you grow in your understanding of the Gospel, you recognize that God didn’t stand apart from  you to hand you eternal life; He is Himself eternal life. So, He actually gave you Himself! No wonder 1 Corinthians 3:21 says, “…all things are yours.” This is so because all things are in Christ, and He’s in you; therefore, you have all things in Him, glory to God!

When you believe and accept this truth, it’ll change the way you pray; you’ll stop asking God for things, because you’ll realize He already gave you everything when He gave you Himself. You’ll then better appreciate why Jesus said, “…do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on” (Luke 12:22). In other words, “Don’t bother about anything!” Why worry when everything good that you could ever imagine is already yours in Christ.

God has given you the key to all things, because you’re His heir (Romans 8:17). Hence, if there’s ever anything you think you need, don’t “beg” Him for it. Simply take possession of it in your spirit by faith: declare that it’s yours now and thank God for it. From that moment on, think, talk and act like it’s yours, because, indeed, it is.

Pray

Dear Father, I thank you for giving me all things in Christ Jesus. I cast all my cares upon you and lay all burdens down at your feet! I rejoice, knowing that you’ve supplied all my needs according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. I live in abundance today, and always, celebrating your goodness in my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
