Harriet and her clique of friends are on the fashion topic today! “This is the reigning bag!” one of them said, getting everyone’s attention to her red glittering bag. “Cool! Well, I got the reigning shoes!” another answered. “And I have on, the reigning hairstyle!” the next lady added. Harriet concluded, “As a part of the reigning clique, I’m going shopping today to buy e-ve-ry-thing reigning!” They all burst out in laughter.
Comments like the ones above are common whenever certain things are trendy. There’s always this talk about “the reigning thing” or the “rave of the moment.” Don’t entertain such talk! The only One who’s reigning today is Jesus Christ; and you’re reigning through Him! You shouldn’t accept that anything else but the Lord is reigning. He’s the reigning King, and you’re to reign with Him (Romans 5:17). He must reign over sickness, devils, hell, and the grave until they’re all subdued, and have no more voice or way to express themselves.
Let Him reign in your life. Don’t allow any kind of sickness express itself in your body; don’t keep quiet in such a condition. Reject everything that’s not of God and approve only that which is consistent with His perfect will for you. That’s how to make the Son of God reign in your life.
