BECOME EXUBERANT WITH GOD!
“Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” (Ephesians 1:1-3).
The saints at Ephesus have gone to heaven, therefore the benediction above is not good to them today; they’re not here to enjoy the benefit of this blessing anymore. That means the blessing is working now and for you; because you’re the one on the scene. Thus the blessing in verse 2 belongs to you: grace and peace from God our Father are yours.
In the 3rd verse, the apostle Paul isn’t praying for the blessing or begging God for it, He worships the Lord with those gracious words. He’s being exuberant with the Lord. He eulogizes Him for what He has already done: He has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.
This ought to be your testimony and your mentality. It ought to be your confession and song; not your prayer request; that you’ve been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus! Dance about it! Praise God for it. Worship Him with it. He’s already done it. So you don’t need to pray to Him for it. Get exuberant with praise to the Lord for blessing you with all spiritual blessings that exist in the heavenly realms.
Now, why did he say “Spiritual blessings?” It’s because the lesser is included in the greater. If you have the spiritual blessings then you have all earthly blessings. Also the spiritual blessings give birth to the physical ones in your life. The spiritual blessings are the greatest. This physical world came from the spirit realm.
So, today, be conscious of the truth that you can never be in need, why? Because the Lord has blessed you with every spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus! For the rest of the day, every so often, say, “Blessed be God, who has blessed me with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus!”
