Be challenged and motivated by the desire to impact your world and give back to society. Responsible For A Change
TO THE BIBLE 1 SAMUEL 17:50-51
“So David conquered the Philistine giant with a sling and a stone. Since he had no sword, he ran over and pulled Goliath’s from its sheath and killed him with it, and then cut off his head. When the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they turned and ran.”
LET’S TALK
As an individual, it’s your responsibility to make your presence and impact felt in your sphere of contact. It may be in your community, school, place of work, city or nation at large; look out for a need and reach out to meet that need.
Take David, for example; he saw a need and reached out to meet it. Rather than join the rest of Israel in lamenting and panicking about the terror unleashed on the entire kingdom by Goliath, he rose to the challenge. When his brothers tried to talk him down, he asked them, “Is there not a cause?” (1 Samuel 17:29 KJV). David wasn’t in the army at the time, yet he stood for a cause and made a difference.
Instead of lamenting about Pharaoh’s wickedness towards the Israelites, Moses took on the responsibility of leading them out of the slavery they’d been subjected to in Egypt for so long. What about Esther? She too risked her life to save her people from Haman’s plot to annihilate them.
These people stood up for the salvation of others, and made tremendous impact in the world of their time. It’s your turn to do the same. Look out today for a need around you, and reach out to meet that need. Make an impact in your world!
